  • Occupational therapy helps people of all ages build the skills they need for daily life — from self-care and work to play and community participation.
    At Lifetree Therapy, we focus on helping each client gain confidence, independence, and quality of life through personalized, one-on-one care.

  • We provide therapy for children, adults, and older adults who need support with sensory, physical, or cognitive challenges.

    Common areas we treat include:

    • Children & Teens: sensory processing, autism, ADHD, developmental delays, fine motor skills, coordination, and emotional regulation

    • Adults & Seniors: stroke, brain injury, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, cognitive decline, aging-in-place needs, and upper extremity recovery

  • A referral is not always required, but some insurance plans (such as Medicare) may need one for coverage. We’ll help you check your requirements before starting.

  • We are accepting Aetna, Humana Military (TRICARE), and Medicare Part B.
    For other plans, we can provide a superbill so you can request reimbursement from your insurance.
    Private pay options are also available.

  • Your first visit includes a comprehensive evaluation to understand your goals, routines, and challenges.
    We’ll then create an individualized therapy plan tailored to your needs.

  • Most sessions last 45–60 minutes, depending on your therapy plan.

  • Yes! In addition to our Fairfax City office, we provide in-home and community-based sessions to support clients in familiar environments.

  • You can book online or contact us directly by phone or email.
    We’ll guide you through the intake process and help you find a convenient time.

    Please note that we may not be able to answer your call during sessions, but we will get back to you within 24 hours.

  • Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling.
    Late cancellations or no-shows may be subject to a fee to keep sessions available for others in need.

  • Our office is located in Fairfax City, Virginia, and we also serve nearby areas through our in-home mobile therapy services.

  • A home safety assessment is an in-home evaluation by a licensed occupational therapist to identify fall risks, safety concerns, and environmental barriers and to provide practical recommendations to improve safety and independence.

    It is for children, adults, and older adults—especially individuals with a history of falls, balance or mobility concerns, chronic conditions, or families seeking proactive home safety planning.

  • Home safety assessments are beneficial for:

    • Older adults with a history of falls or balance concerns

    • Individuals with mobility limitations, weakness, or chronic conditions

    • Clients returning home after hospitalization or rehabilitation

    • Children with developmental, sensory, or mobility needs

    • Families seeking proactive safety planning for their home environment
